How to properly use Silver to block Ethylene.
Whether you decided to purchase our Premade STS spray or decided to make your own, creating your own seeds might be easier then you think.
Spray Every 3-5 Days After Lights Out
Silver Thiosulfate stops the production of ethylene. This effect only lasts a few days in cannabis and spraying every 5 days keeps ethylene production the lowest. Turn off the main lights and spray before the night cycle. Silver thiosulfate is sensitive to light, so low lighting and then dark works well.
- Dilute if Burning/Yellowing Develops
Some strains/phenotypes of cannabis are more sensitive than others. Should yellowing or severe burning develop, add distilled or r/o water to the bottle. A slight reaction is fine, while severe reactions require diluting with additional distilled or r/o water. - Keep STS Out of the Root Zone
Cover the base area of the plant with newspapers before spraying. Make sure the plant has completely stopped dripping before removing the newspapers or other barriers. - Saturate Each Node With Spray
The nodes are located at each spot where a leaf joins a branch. During vegetative growth, each node will eventually produce another branch. During flowering, each node produces flowers. - Turn Off Fans Before Pollen Begins Dropping
Pollen is insidious and will float in to every crack and corner of your house. HEPA filtered ventilation (even HEPA rated furnace filters work) will significantly reduce the spread of pollen. Spray down all pollen covered areas with clean water to deactivate pollen.

tep-by-Step Guide to Pollinating Plants and Feminizing Seeds:
Pollinating Plants:
- Create two completely separate grow rooms or areas; one for the plants you plan on switching to male in order to obtain female pollen and one for the plants you plan on pollinating once you have the pollen.
- Collect the pollen from the male plants and make sure it is stored in a cool and dry place.
- Wait for the female plants to begin to flower real flowers.
- Apply the fresh and high-quality pollen to the female plants that are fully ready to take it.
- To harvest large amounts of high-quality seeds, do a few controlled tests to determine the right moment to apply the pollen.
Feminizing Seeds:
- Use only the healthiest , best expressing plant, now the time to cull anything remotely weak.
- Combine your favorite strains to get various phenotypes with varying qualities and structures.
- Grow a lot of the seeds that you get from your feminized plant and take a clone from each plant.
- Set the clones to flower and study their characteristics.
- Pick two mother plants that have the characteristics you’re looking for, revert them, and cross them with each other to get a more balanced version.
- Repeat this process as many times as necessary to create a balanced strain that has the characteristics you’re looking for.
- Keep perfect track and control of the timing when it comes to flowering and pollen yield for the best possible results.
- Take your time and do a few controlled tests before making large amounts of your own seeds.
